The Living Installation is a live expressive surreal, meditative experience, a living movie acted out. The artist couple, Michael Alan and Jadda Cat constantly morph materials, light, color, sound, and costume with their bodies, minds, and spirit to create an ever-changing living sculpture. Every installation is different. Jadda Cat’s energy transcends throughout eternity! Michael Alan Alien is NYC punk living in the now! The Living Installation is a refreshing low-fi look into the essence of creation. It is a behind-the-scenes presentation of art rather than a gallery setting, consisting of wacky performance, body art, video projection, live music, and punk sounds, with comedic satirical elements, endless inspiration, and so much more. This ongoing living art human project has been going strong for over 23 years in NYC, founded by Bushwick-born and NYC raised Michael Alan Alien. He has been creating live shows in NYC since the 90s. He believes in preserving the raw creative essence of old New York.

The Living Installation live show at Times Square! Jadda Cat solo performance “Gremlin Gone Wild!” the ultimate self expression experience! Watch her transform herself into a destructive, malicious, kookie creature with nostalgic upcycled items, cardboard, fabric, and splashes of paint! Jadda takes the word “pretend” and flips it on its head, playfully constructing and deconstructing her form while intuitively creating masks and costumes out of the chaos she creates in her miniature theater installation. Jadda Cat celebrates freedom, exploring the unconventional with playful chaotic movement fueled by pent up female aggression!
Strange and silly live vocals can be heard from the Jadda creature accompanying the experimental musical score by her partner Michael Alan Alien. Jadda Cat runs the live, records movie, and takes selfies while Michael Alan Alien creates photo stills and video simultaneously during the performance, documenting hundreds of moments in time! A selection of these works will be made available to collect for years to come!
This all ages lighthearted comedic body art performance is reminiscent of NYC street performance of the 80s. She aims to create an informal art viewing experience and gather viewers together to let go from their every day to experience something new and fun.
